Week One Blog Post Throughout this week we went through notes on point, line, form, and plane. Point is the most basic element and is a stable feature. I found it interesting the idea of the focal point, this is something that really is everywhere, but we may not always pick up on it due to how common it is in design. Thinking about build in focal points vs created focal points. A built-in focal point can be a vaulted ceiling, fireplace, angled walls, or windows. All these things are focal point that are the foundation of the design. A created focal point could be artwork, back splashes, mirrors, and accent wall colors. All these design elements also draw your eye in. We also talked about line and especially an implied line, this could be two points that create a line, the example talked about in class was in Washington D.C. and the line that connects the major monuments.
